Description: This course is designed to meet the needs of people with some sailing experience who want to improve their skills. The course content is designed for you to gain the essential skills that will enable you to become a competent crew member aboard a range of yachts. The syllabus includes: * Personal safety * Safe sailing techniques * Helming * Auxiliary engine operation * Crew overboard drills * Anchoring and mooring * Sail shape and control * How to handle strong winds * Essential sailing knots * Basic chart work * Sailing rules * Spinnaker demo (weather permitting) In addition we provide you with full course notes and your name on our Crew Register Yachting Australia logbook and certification.
