30 minutes Competition Glider over Byron Bay

Description:  This is one of the best ways to see Byron from the air, and it is the perfect introduction to the sport of gliding! After take-off from the Airfield, we will fly low level along some of the most beautiful beaches in Byron Bay. Once reaching the most Easterly point of Australia known as Cape Byron and flying over the famous lighthouse we climb to 3000 feet and cut the engine. Let the soaring begin! The views to the Gold Coast, Mount Warning, the volcanic caldera and the Great Dividing Range are spectacular - so don't forget your camera! Taking advantage of the thermals and ridge-lift created by the sun and winds, we glide all the way back over the beautiful hinterland of Byron Bay for an engine-off landing back on the airfield.
